Tonight's UFC action takes place in Salt Lake City headlined by Yair Rodriguez vs. Alex Caceres. Here's the quick recap:

Moroz v. Taylor

The night's action in Salt Lake City began when Maryna Moroz, 24, met Danielle Taylor, 26, in the strawweight class. Round one was relatively uninteresting, with neither fighter landing many punches.

Things picked up in round two, with Taylor landing a massive right. Then, in round three, Moroz lands a strong kick while Taylor exhibited impressive footwork. The winner by split decision is Moroz.

Smith v. Gigliotti

Next, Trevor "Hot Sauce" Smith takes on Joe Gigliotti in the middleweight class. Smith takes control of the fight during the first round, pinning Gigliotti against the fence and remaining in control for the rest of the round. In the second round, Smith gets Gigliotti on his back and then breaks his nose. With Gigliotti bleeding heavily, Smith continues to land punches.

Gigliotti starts round three severely wounded, unable to defend himself against Smith's takedown. Gigliotti gets back on his feet, and is finally able to get out of Smith's grip.

Gigliotti lands a few hits before being taken down again. Smith easily wins the fight by unanimous decision.

Ponzinibbio v. Cummings

Santiago Ponzinibbio takes on Zak Cummings in the welterweight fight. In round one, Cummings lands a few good punches, but Ponzinibbio lands a massive kick to the head. Cummings kicks Ponzinibbio in the groin, resulting in a warning.

Cummings then gets Ponzinibbio down for a split second, but Ponzinibbio recovers, ending the round. Cummings starts round two being aggressive and eventually gets some good hits, but Ponzinibbio is quicker and more effective.

In round three, Ponzinibbio continues to outpace Cummings in hits landed. Ponzinibbio wins.

Leites v. Camozzi

In the middleweight class, we have Thales Leites vs. Chris Camozzi. In round one, Leites dominates by jumping Camozzi and then constantly getting in hits as Camozzi tries to escape. Leites starts the second round by taking Camozzi down.

He remains in control throughout the round. Camozzi starts out strong in round three, but Leites soon takes control again, landing several punches easily.

Finally, Leites gets Camozzi in a rear naked choke, and Camozzi taps out. Leites wins by submission.

Bermudez v. Jason

Dennis "The Menace" Bermudez takes on Rony Jason. In round one, Bermudez gets Jason up against the fence and then holds him down. Both land a few hits, then Bermudez gets in multiple elbows to Jason's head. Jason is bleeding hard and is unable to get up. As the round ends, the doctor is called in for Jason.

Bermudez keeps the pressure up in round two, continuing to get several punches in. Jason ends round two bloodied again after Bermudez gets several more punches in.

In round three, Jason gets back into the fight and gets on top of Bermudez, but Bermudez reverses and gets back on Jason again. Bermudez wins by unanimous decision.

Rodriguez v. Caceres

Yair Rodriguez fights Alex Caceres in the main event. Caceres is undefeated in 2016 coming into this fight. Both fighters get some good kicks in during round one. Rodriguez gets in some gymnastic kicks in round two while Caceres can't find his rhythm. Caceres starts to get into his groove in round three, and he gets a few strong punches to land.

At the end of round three, Caceres gets on top and is able to hit Rodriguez hard. Round four is mostly uneventful.

Round five starts with Caceres getting Rodriguez up against the fence, and continues with a Caceres takedown, Rodriguez gets a series of punches in to finish the event. Rodriguez wins by split decision.
