Beyonce and "Weird" Al Yankovic rarely get mentioned in the same sentence but parody artist is following the same blueprint with his latest release that Queen Bey did with her.

The amazingly long-running parody singer is releasing eight videos in eight days in support of his Mandatory Fun album, the last on his current record deal.

Yankovic has also hinted that the digital age has made albums too slow a format for him so this may be his last proper album.

The Weird festivities kicked off Monday with the release of "Tacky" a parody of Pharell's "Happy." Tuesday he unveiled "Word Crimes," a grammar-based parody of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines.

Wednesday he released "Foil," a comic take on Lorde's hit "Royals" about leftovers. All the songs are soft, playful jabs made in the "Weird" Al tradition with the permission of the artists being lightly mocked.

The "Tacky" video also includes appearances by Jack Black, Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal, Margaret Cho and Aisha Tyler.

A new video will continue to be released every day through July 21 at www.weirdal.com.

Mandatory Fun is Weird Al's 14th album. It is out now.
