Dobrev shocked "The Vampire Diaries" universe when she announced that she would no be reprising her role as Elena Gilbert on the show. Now Dobrev is becoming even more distant from the show but not in a personal sense.

CWTV has removed Elena from the promo photos on their major social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.

Instead of Elena and the brothers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder), the photo has been dwindled down to just the two Salvatores.

Dobrev also confirmed that she would not be reprising her role in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"'I can't wait to see what the new season will look like,' she says," according to the report.

"'I'll be watching. I'm very excited for my friends.' One thing the actress won't be doing, however, is appearing on it. 'That chapter is closed, sadly - bittersweet,' she says."

Fans have already begun to take notice and surprisingly enough some are wondering why CWTV did not choose to include Caroline (Candice King/Accola) or Bonnie (Kat Graham).

Fans who are part of the respective Bamon and Steroline ships, have already begun voicing their opinions on the new photos that seem to be a photoshopped version of "The Vampire Diaries" season six promo photos.

So, would fans have loved to see Elena on in season seven of TVD or do they prefer this direction of the show? Let us know in the comments below or vote in the poll below.
