Recently it was reported that Steven R. McQueen would be joining the "Chicago Fire" crew much to the delight of fans who won't be seeing him on "The Vampire Diaries."

"The Vampire Diaries' alum Steven R. McQueen has booked a recurring role on NBC's Chicago Fire," reported Deadline.

"McQueen plays the new candidate Jimmy Borelli, who makes a dramatic entrance on his first day of work and that doesn't sit well with his boss, Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker)."

McQueen played Jeremy Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries" series.

He was the little brother of Nina Dobrev's character Elena and exited the show by going off to college to pursue an art career.

Fans who want to see McQueen can catch him on the fourth season of "Chicago Fire" which premieres on NBC October 13. Check out more shirtless photos from McQueen's weekend at Lollapalooza below.
