While promoting her new film The Boss on the Ellen Show, Melissa McCarthy made some pretty exciting news involving her former role on the hit show Gilmore Girls.

The Gilmore Girls is one of the TV shows that has a bunch of nostalgia attached to it. Netflix announced that it would be rebooting the Gilmore Girls and McCarthy, who said she was constantly asked whether or not she would be a part of the reboot, made a pretty big announcement.

McCarthy told DeGeneres and her viewers that she would be going back to the Gilmore Girls.

She said that the show was near and dear to her heart and that she was very excited to be a part of it again.

During her visit McCarthy also talked about her kids and she is afraid of the youngest one. Both of her daughters are going to be in the upcoming film, The Boss, set for release on Friday, April 16. McCarthy joked that her youngest daughter randomly blurted out that she didn't want to take karate, instead, she just wanted a guy she could kick and punch.

McCarthy said no one had any clue where that all came from.

They never actually got down to the real root of all of the militant talk, but it made for a pretty hilarious story. You can watch Melissa McCarthy's interview with Ellen DeGeneres in the video below.
