Senator John McCain's daughter, Meghan McCain, appeared on the Howard Stern Show Wednesday morning to talk mostly about herself and her role in television.

There had been a lot of recent talk about McCain joining 'The View', but all it was was just that, talk.

"I was not officially offered [the job]," McCain confirms. "There was just a lot of speculation."

McCain was recently rumored to be pegged by producers as the next, new co-host on "The View", but turned down the job. She recently told Refinery29, "I have the most utmost respect for everyone at The View.

The show was amazing for my career for a long time. But, right now, I really love my job at TakePart Live."

McCain appeared on "The View" Tuesday, October 14 to chat with the ladies. "I just saw Rosie and Whoopi yesterday," McCain said, and amid rumors that they are feuding, she reports they seem they are getting along fine.

Weeknights at 10 p.m., McCain appears on the nightly news show "TakePart Live" with Jacob Soboroff and Baratunde Thurston, and she speaks as the only conservative voice.

The show appears on Pivot, a new television network dedicated to addressing the social and political issues raised in their content--a perfect fit for Meghan McCain.
