Here we go, the first track from Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz collaborative album Collegrove is here. "Gotta Lotta" premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio show and it's getting fans excited for the new project.
"Gotta Lotta" features what sounds like Mannie Fresh's classic bouncy styled beat with a new age twist and two intense verses from Wayne and 2 Chainz. The track happens to be the first single fans have heard from the Collegrove collaborative album that Kanye West revealed on Twitter earlier this week.
There is still no telling whether Kanye has any further involvement in the album or why he was chosen to make the announcement but at this point the music is speaking for itself.
2 Chainz will be taking over Beats 1 Radio at 10PM on March 3, to premiere a few more tracks and with him will be DJ Drama, Mannie Fresh, DJ Self and DJ E Sudd.
He will be premiering more new tracks from Collegrove in order to continue the hype for the album's release on March 4.
The braggadocios track features a ton of drug references and really stands out as somewhat of a fast paced hype track. "Gotta Lotta" shows the potential for a lot more trunk rattling tracks to come from the Collegrove album, which is actually scheduled to release on Friday, March 4.
The project hasn't been a secret but the release date seemed to come out of thin air.
Now, fans of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz will be able to hear some new cuts from some of the most famous rappers of the South.
