Leland, Sebastian Mikael, Brian Fresco, Lehlani & Years & Years Top Billboard's Emerging Artists

EDM and R&B are taking over the Billboard Emerging Artists Charts as Leland, Sebastian Mikael, Brian Fresco, Lehlani & Years And Years round out the top five spots at the moment.

The number one spot was held by rapper Dej Loaf off and on for the past couple of weeks but today sparks a fresh top five starting with Leland and his brand new song "Aware." The infectious electric/alternative track features vocals reminiscent of MGMT mixed with a little Dan Black.

This artist embraces a sound that mixes both new age and older alternative music to make something that fans of the genre might cling to.

Coming in at number two is Sebastian Mikael and his smooth and sultry R&B hit "Made For Me" featuring Teyana Taylor. The song is a beautiful ode to the perfect other halves that exist in your lives.

It's beautifully done with Taylor's voice falling right in line with Mikael's delicate R&B runs.

The track was featured on Mikael's debut album "Speechless," which dropped back in June but is now picking up some steam with the growing popularity of "Made For Me." Taylor's debut album "VII" released yesterday for fans who are looking for more from yet another rising R&B star.

Brian Fresco and his song "Bae" stands at number three. His playful sound can be compared to that of Kevin Cossum. He manages to mix a flow with a slow R&B twist for a smooth bedroom anthem.

"Bae" is one of the tracks off Fresco's album "Soul Money" where displays his rapping ability over his R&B tone. He is mostly a hip-hop artist but "Bae" is one of the acceptions on his album.

Rising R&B artist Kehlani enters the climb at number four on Billboard's Emerging Artists Chart with her song "FWU." The song is a come up about a relationship between two individuals that remain strong despite the rough times.

It is about how a couple goes from being low-key to finally making it to the power-couple status. The single hit iTunes in May and is no gaining a little steam as Kehlani makes her way up the charts.

Rounding out the top five songs on the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart is Years and Years and their catchy hit "Desire." The club anthem is sure to get fans dancing as the EDM trio create something extremely relevant to some of the most popular sounds in music today.

The vocals by Olly Alexander are very impressive as he belts the infectious tune over a beat that screams at the listener to get on the dance floor.
