Lebron James and Ellen DeGeneres Surprise Children in Akron, Ohio

Two of the most charitable celebrities collide as Lebron James and Ellen DeGeneres came together to surprise some kids in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

DeGeneres began telling the studio audience about James' charitable efforts and that she would be helping him surprise children in Akron via video. She tapped into the feed as James introduced her as his good friend and heard the kids scream with excitement as she showed up on a projector screen.

James said he teamed up with Little Tikes and his Lebron James Foundation to raise money for all of the kids that she saw in the background.

DeGeneres said that James got his start playing on one of the Little Tike hoops that are being sold to help the kids in the room and he confirmed it. He said it was a dream come true for him to go from playing on a Little Tikes basketball hoop to seeing his face and foundation as a partner with them.

James said it was really important for him to give back to his hometown. He told DeGeneres that he feels great going into the Eastern Conference playoffs as the number one seed.

DeGeneres pointed out that she saw a video of James' sons playing and that are so good they must be thinking about the NBA. She said she felt so sorry for the other kids on the other team playing agains James' sons.

James had one more surprise as all of the kids present would be given a Little Tikes hoop and Treasure Chest.
