Kurt Cobain Suicide Shirt No Longer for Sale

Earlier in the week a reddit post entitled 'Apparently you can now buy a shirt with a picture of Kurt Cobain's suicide note' was receiving a lot of attention.

Now the shirt is of course no longer for sale and never should have been from the outset.

The merchandiser had the shirt on Etsy and Ebay for $15 and $25. But outcry on social media and other news outlets forced the sites to remove the shirt from being sold.

It was reported on Tuesday that the $25 version was still available on Ebay but has newly been removed.

As you can see in the picture above though some did buy the shirt and were apparently paying tribute to the loss of the once great rock icon. But the media made it quite clear that the opposite in fact was being done.

That having a suicide note on your shirt suggests that suicide is to be romanced.

The rock icon did provide a suicide note before taking his life in April of 1994, he was only 27. The note addressed an imaginary friend Boddah and then wife and daughter Courtney Love and Frances Bean.

Certainly Kurt Cobain doesn't need to be remembered for this aspect of his life. Remembering this great man should only be as easy as going on iTunes and putting on a pair of headphones.
