It's been seven years since the release of one of Kanye West's most experimental albums, 808s & Heartbreak.

Today, one of the artists who was featured on the monumental album Kid Cudi, paid homage to the project by retweeting a fan account of West.

Cudi retweeted a clip of he and West performing "Welcome To Heartbreak" at the The Hollywood Bowl earlier this year. The performance was monumental because Cudi had since relinquished his affiliation with G.O.O.D. Music and ventured out on an experimental path of his own.

It was the first time in a long time the two artists took the stage together and the roar of the crowd when Cudi emerged pretty much said it all.

The performance itself was powerful and showed that the two artists still have a high respect for one another.

In a little over a week from now, Cudi will be releasing his Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven album.

It is in a sense relatable to West's 808s & Heartbreak because it is another experimental album that represents the next level of creativity from an artist.

The fan hype surrounding Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven is just as big as any of his previous projects and December 4 is shaping up to be a big release day for the project. You can check out the full performance of "Welcome To Heartbreak" at The Hollywood Bowl below.
