Rapper Kendrick Lamar took to Twitter releasing a photo of the artwork for his upcoming single "I."

The image appears to show two gang members one in blue representing the Crips and one in red representing the Bloods.

The two are on opposite sides of the letter eye and their hands both form hearts on their respective sides.

"TDE's CEO tweeted last night that new music from both Kendrick and Jay Rock was coming, so keep your eyes peeled," says HotNewHipHop.com. "The release date for Kendrick's new single is reportedly Tuesday, September 23rd."

The photo was released twice but the reason for that is still to be determined. Lamar has been on a hiatus for some time releasing very little information about the new project before a recent interview with Complex Magazine.

He mentioned that he had prepared between 30 and 40 tracks for the new album. HNHH reports the September 23 release date but it may change as no one saw the release of this artwork coming.
