Back in June of 2015 John Stamos was arrested for a DUI and opened up about his arrest, going to rehab and more during the new season of Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show.

Stamos was the first guest of Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show in 2016 after the radio host re-signed with the company.

Stern and the Grandfathered star discussed the fact that Stamos was pretty embarrassed after the incident and that it was stupid and ignorant of him because he could have hurt someone.

"I hated myself for that, it was a bad bad thing and I decided I have to stop this up and down," said Stamos.

"Obviously I was hurt after losing my mom and derailed over the years.

A piece of me just was gone and it was a big part of my purpose for many many years to be there for her and be a good son. So I lost my purpose."

Stamos also admitted that his mother was worried that he was drinking too much and when he found out after she died, it broke his heart.

He also told Stern that alcohol was hard to kick but the Ambien that he had become addicted to was tougher.

"Howard asked if he gets nervous going to a rehab and has to come clean about his life," according to MarksFriggin.

"He said that someone could go to the press and reveal secrets. John said he trusted everyone.

He said that they were anonymous. He said he doesn't have anything to hide anymore. John said he was sent down the wrong path after his dad died."

Stamos' show Grandfathered was renewed for another season and during his visit he explained the premise of the show, which has been doing pretty well. He also told Stern about his experience in high school and how kids hated him.

The reasoning he gave was centered around arrogance.

Stamos even opened up about going on a date with Amy Poehler. He revealed that he was in to her and that he thought she was "super funny and cute." The conversation then turned towards Full House and ultimately to the Fuller House sequel to the show that will be premiering on Netflix pretty soon.

He respected the Olsen Twins' decision not to do the show as they didn't consider themselves actors.

The full interview was pretty interesting with a few funny moments involving High Pitch Erik where he had to choose between Stamos and Donnie Wahlberg.
