Jim Carrey appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday afternoon, and dished on some behind-the-scenes story from his new movie, "Dumb and Dumber To." It's been twenty years since Jim Carrey starred in everyone's favorite guilty pleasure: Dumb & Dumber, which was released in 1994.

Jim Carrey told Ellen he ate 36 hot dogs to do the scene. "I thought it was a good idea to have them on the set, and I ate a couple before we began," Carrey said.

"I actually bit through my tongue--entirely through my tongue--during that take," Carrey confessed to a disgusted audience. "Uh... just kept going, because we suffer for comedy."

Carrey also inhaled a chunk of the hot dog in to his lung, and for the next few weeks on set, was dry heaving.

"I couldn't get it out, so I just snorted some mustard and went to a Braves game," he said.

Carrey also told DeGeneres that his daughter, Jane Erin Carrey, has her music on the film's soundtrack.

He declares that it is not nepotism, and that the director will enjoys Jane Erin's musical talents. He then proceeded to tag the floor of Ellen's studio with spray paint, and painted the characters of "Dumb and Dumber To."

"Dumb and Dumber To" is in theaters November 14.
