YouTube sensation and Internet personality Connor Franta has a second job: therapist. In his new YouTube video, Franta hands out some helpful advice with some hard-earned dash of wisdom.

One point of expertise Franta can offer some guidance on is how to start your own YouTube channel. "I advise you to simply just do it," he says.

"If you want to do something, stop thinking about it, and just do it. And once you get yourself to do it, just enjoy it, simple as that!"

He finds his creative inspiration in everyday life. "In the shower, going on runs, on a bus. When I'm out to eat, when I'm at a friend's house," he says. "The best thing about inspiration is that it's everywhere."

In Franta's new video, he also gives some solid tips on how to handle life's common conundrums.

He gives advice on how to get through a number of relationship rough patches, like if your best friend begins to spend all of their time with their new significant other and ignores you, or what to do if your friend is diagnosed with depression.

Speaking from personal experience, he explains how he relieves stress: "For me, I like to take hot showers, go on a nice walk, talk to some friends, eat some food, but basically, just get out of your house," he says.

"For some reason, being confined to one area makes it all seem worse."

When Franta was in high school, he was doing YouTube, playing sports, and still managing to get good grades--it was not easy. At all.

"You just really need to find a good balance between things," he says.

And when it comes to filling up your resume? "I'm going to give you a little inside information: grades are not the only thing that matters." He emphasizes how schools are looking for a well-rounded personality, with activities and engagement outside of school.

"If you just have good grades, you don't necessarily have that much to offer."

When it comes to insecurities, Franta advices to just accept them. "That is you," he says about whatever it is you may feel insecure about.

"And if you accept it, and work it, and own it, that's the best thing you can do. Be you, love being you, flaws and all."
