While listeners were celebrating the good news from Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show yesterday, Stern admits that he was actually a little "crabby" yesterday.

Stern admitted that yesterday was both an exciting and stressful day for him. He told listeners that he had been contemplating his future for months leading up to the announcement.

He said that he was in talks with SiriusXM and other companies but never mentioned the names of the other companies involved.

"Howard said that it was becoming more obvious to him that he wanted to do something important and move forward. He said he kept coming back to Sirius," according to MarksFriggin's rundown.

"Howard said he knows everyone there and he wanted to come back there. Howard said they don't interfere with the show."

Along with the decision, Stern said that he wasn't sure if the Christmas Special he had planned would be airing, he even felt stressed about Robin Quivers going over to his house for dinner and his wife Beth, who has been promoting her book.

Stern has been taking on all of this and it seems like it was getting to him, especially with him having issues with anxiety.

The Howard Stern Christmas Special did go on but before that Stern gave fans a rundown of how the negotiations with SiriusXM went.

Stern told listeners that it really took a long time for him to put the deal together and that at one point it looked like it wasn't going to go through.

Thankfully it all came together and his crew members continued to thank him including Gary Dell'Abate.
