Howard Stern Remembers Garry Marshall

When the reports of Garry Marshall's death began circulating, stars from film and TV everywhere sent their condolences.

Howard Stern took some time at the beginning of his SiriusXM radio show to talk about Marshall and remember the creator of some of the greatest shows on TV.

"Howard said he has to talk about the death of Garry Marshall. Howard said he was very nice to him," according to MarksFriggin's rundown.

"Robin said he created Happy Days. Howard said he started out as a joke writer and worked on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson."

Stern began listing some of the shows that Marshall wrote for including, Make Room For Daddy, Lucy's show, the Dick Van Dyke Show as well as plenty other shows.

The radio show host also reflected on more of Marshall's career which included directing Pretty Woman. The Stern Show did have Marshall on the show and along with that, Marshall did something personal for him.

"He said when he was working on Private Parts he would talk to Garry and he would answer questions for him," according to MF.

"He said Ivan Reitman stepped in and figured it all out. Howard said he had like 20 some drafts before that.

He said Garry would take his calls and give advice. Howard said he once sent him a guitar effect pedal thing as a gift."

Marshall died at the age of 81 with the cause of death being linked to complications from pneumonia, according to TMZ.
