On the Howard Stern Show Tuesday morning, Howard Stern stated he thought Bill Hader was in the top 5 funniest people to be on Saturday Night Live, up there with Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, and John Belushi.

After eight seasons, Bill Hader left "Saturday Night Live" last year, though he will be hosting the show on Saturday, October 11.

He wasn't always the hilarious box-office draw modern audiences know him to be. When Hader first started off in show business, he was a Production Assistant for a few random sets in Hollywood, including the Playboy Channel's "Night Calls."

"It was awful. It was like a phone sex call, and they would ask caller's to tell them their fantasy, and it would just turn into a lot of people f***ing," Hader explains.

"My job was to be off in the corner with the head set on, and there would just be a row of porn stars reading magazines and drinking coffee.

And they'd be like, 'Uh, yeah Bill, can you get Candy and Cindy ready?'" Hader later left the job because he was afraid his parents would find out.

He was also assigned to be Arnold Schwarzenegger's personal assistant on the set of "Collateral Damage." "We were in the jungle in Xalapa, Mexico," Hader remembers.

"One time he said to me, 'This is the same jungle where we shot "Predator"'." Hader's job mostly entailed getting Schwarzenegger schnitzel. Hader remembered him saying: "'I flew schnitzel in when we were making "Predator."'"

Bill Hader now stars in the movie "The Skeleton Twins," in theaters now.
