Hollywood is competitive enough as it is. Every time another starlet has nailed her first feature film, her competitors from prior auditions are fast on her heels, trying to nab an Oscar-worth role away from her.

But imagine having your younger sister compete with you for roles! It turns out, Hollywood is bursting with sister acts.

And we've identified three of the most beautiful, successful sister duos out there. But which sister takes the cake for more successful actress? We'll leave you to decide!

Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning

Dakota Fanning's early performances took our breath away. She earned a Screen Actor's Guild Award nomination for her performance at the tender age of 7 in 'I am Sam." She was also one of those child actresses who seemed to make the transition to more adult roles more easily, and without a leaked sex tape fiasco. Dakota Fanning went on to impress fans further when she matriculated to New York University in 2011.

But, it wasn't soon before Dakota Fanning's eclectic acting choices and nuanced performances were being surpassed by younger sister, Elle Fanning. Coincidentally, one of Elle's first roles was in Dakota's movie, "I am Sam." Following Elle's breakout role in J.J Abrams's "Super 8," she went on to start in multiple films, earning rave reviews.

Elle Fanning has also gained buzz as a muse to a number of high end fashion designers. So of this duo, which would you choose?

Zooey Deschanel and Emily Deschanel

Unlike other sets of sisters in Hollywood, for many years the Deschanel sisters operated in different acting domains: Emily Deschanel was better known for her role in the TV series, "Bones" and Zooey Deschanel was known for her quirky but lovable acting in big screen hits such as "Elf" and "500 Days of Summer." But younger sister Zoey Deschanel was soon on Emily Deschanel's turf when Zooey was cast as the lead in the hit TV show, "New Girl." We will say that Zooey Deschanel is certainly the multi-hyphenate within this family: Zooey is not only known for her acting, but also online writing ventures, music and acting.

We know Zooey also recently had a baby so perhaps she and big sister Emily will have a chance to carry on the friendly competition with another generations of blue-eyed beauties.

Kate Mara and Rooney Mara

Even more remarkable than the fact that Kate Mara and Rooney Mara are related is that the Mara clan itself is famous in its own right. Mama Mara's family founded the Pittsburgh Steelers and her papa Mara's family founded the New York Giants.

Like other younger sisters from acting families, Rooney Mara got her start nabbing roles as extras on movies that older sister Kate Mara starred in.

Still, Rooney Mara catapulted to fame when she was cast as the lead in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Since then, she's acclaim and award nominations for role in poignant, artistic films.

Meanwhile, Kate Mara has starred in big studio blockbusters such as "Fantastic Four."

So there you have it - three of Hollywood's most beautiful sister duos. Now that's good genes!
