Ubisoft will release two Assassin's Creed games in 2014--Assassin's Creed: Unity and Assassin's Creed: Rogue. In the latter, the player will assume the role of Shay Patrick, the Assassin who defected to the Templars.

Gamespot recently interviewed Martin Kapel, the Director of Assassin's Creed: Rogue. And, while Kapel spoke about the game, a familiar character appeared in the demo; Haytham Kenway stood on deck of protagonist Shay Patrick's ship, The Morrigan.

Fans of the series know Haytham as the antagonist from Assassin's Creed III.

Haytham also appeared in the epilogue of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, which starred his father, Edward Kenway.

When asked about Haytham's presence aboard The Morrigan, Kapel declined to comment, saying that he didn't want to ruin the game's story. But, Kapel did tell Gamespot that Assassin's Creed: Rogue will be "completing the Kenway Saga."

The "Kenway Saga" started in Assassin's Creed III, becoming the series' new focus after Ezio Auditore da Firenze: Connor Kenway is the protagonist in Assassin's Creed III, Edward Kenway--Connor's grandfather--is the protagonist in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

Haytham, however, is the villain of the trio; Connor is the altruistic hero while Edward is the well-intentioned yet selfish anti-hero.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue will be released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on November 11th. Also coming out in 2014 is Assassin's Creed: Unity, which will be on the Xbox One and Playstation 4.
