Fresh off The Allman Brothers' Band triumphant final tour, legendary guitarist Gregg Allman has announced a series of Southern gigs. The tour kicks off December 31 in Atlanta and concludes January 17 in Savannah, GA.

Allman will be joined by guitarist Scott Sharrad, keyboard player Peter Levin, drummer Steve Potts, percussionist Marc Quinones, bassist Ron Johnson and a horn section comprised of Art Edmaiston, Jay Collins and Marc Franklin.

Allman's latest solo effort, the T-Bone Burnett-produced Low Country Blues, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Blues Album in 2011.

He also recently produced a New York Times Best Selling autobiography, My Cross to Bear, which was being adapted into a Randall Miller biopic titled Midnight Rider. Production on the film was halted after a fatal on-set accident in February 2014.
