Godzilla: King of the Monsters is out this weekend and it serves as a direct sequel to the other Godzilla movie that released in 2014.

With the movie out this week in various parts of the world, the critics have now voiced their opinion on the film. The Rotten Tomatoes rating has now been revealed giving us an idea on what the movie is like.

Interestingly enough, Godzilla: King of the Monsters is rated lower on Rotten Tomatoes compared to its predecessor. The movie currently has a rating of only 41 percent from professional film critics.

There are 58 fresh reviews and 84 rotten reviews. The average score for the film is 5.12/10 meaning there is a lot of 2 star ratings. You can read the Critics Consensus posted below.

However on the flip side, the new verified Audience Score for the movie is far better. Average movie goers have given the movie a very respectable score of 89 percent!
