Go! Samurai has nine days remaining on its Kickstarter. It has exceeded its $10,000 goal, and creator Keiichiro Kimura announced stretch goals for potential milestones.

If the project reaches $20,000 then he will give a digital format synopsis and a character guide to all who pledged more than five dollars.

In addition, if the project reaches $30,000, then backers who donated more than fifty dollars will get 8 postcards featuring characters from the film.

Go! Samurai is an animated short film that is entirely hand-drawn by Kimura.

"It will consist of approximately 2,000 frame works focused on a single samurai fighting for his life against 100 of his vicious enemies," Kimura states about the project on its official Kickstarter page.

The teased frames have a rough feel to them, and are colorless. The reason for this, Kimura states, is that it's more of an "artistic film than the usual commercial animation."

Kimura has a long resume that spans from being key animator on an episode of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed to being chief animator on Cyborg 009.

Plans for a sequel are in the works, according to the site. For more information about Kimura and his life work, visit his IMDB page here. If you want to donate to Go! Samurai, visit the film's Kickstarter page here.
