Just a few weeks after he returned from a three-week suspension for attacking NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on his podcast, Bill Simmons has done it again.

The Grantland editor made disparaging comments about ESPN Radio's Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg, who host the "Mike and Mike" morning show on ESPN Radio.

Simmons took issue with how the two spoke about comments he made about Lebron James on his Twitter feed.

During an on-air discussion about LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers' 1-3 start, Mike & Mike played a tape of Simmons saying the situation reminded him "a little bit" of when baseball's Albert Pujols left the Cardinals for the Angels and saw his numbers fall.

"I think it's one of the most ridiculous statements I've heard four games into a season in my life in any sport," said Golic. "That's what I'll say about Bill Simmons. So, you know, he grabbed a headline, which is something I know he loves -- and that's one of the most ridiculous lines I've ever heard in any sport in my life.

Four games into a season. I don't even ... that's ridiculous."

In general ESPN has a policy where it does not allow its personalities to comment on each other. Simmons has been disciplined for violating that edict in the past,

Simmons, who remains under contract to ESPN for about a year, has been openly flouting network policies and may be trying to get fired in order to get out of his contract.

A media star, Simmons would be in heavy demand were he to become available despite his frequent struggles with his bosses.
