Erykah Badu Remixes Wintertime's 'Thru It All'

To celebrate her FADER cover and 4/20, Erykah Badu released a remix of Wintertime's "Thru It All" titled, "I Been Goin Thru It All" the Happy 4/20 mix.
The original version of Wintertime's "Thru It All" doesn't quite seem like something that Badu would jump on. However, the beat was just enough for Badu to remix the Wintertime hit.
The smooth and simple beat was mere clockwork for Badu who dropped a ton of gems on the track. There was even a subtle mention of her hit "Tyrone."
Badu made it clear that she is off drugs and alcohol and even though 4/20 is here again, she is still staying off the drugs. Badu touched upon the violence and the Black Lives Matter movement in her interview with FADER.
"I felt it coming on," she says, of the police violence crisis that sparked and sustained the Black Lives Matter movement, according to her FADER interview.
"I was really feeling a strong affinity toward writing about what was going on around me.
And I actually wrote about what's happening right now in that album. So I don't feel the need to write it now, because I got it out."
