Ellen DeGeneres Sits Down With Tennis Star Novak Djokovic

When Novak Djokovic takes a day off it's unlike any other. He used his day off to visit the Ellen DeGeneres show and talk about how he has found himself in the game and much more during their chat.

Djokovic recently won the 2016 ATP & WTA BNP Paribas Open tournament after defeating Milos Raonic in the final match.

He is the number one mens player in the world and recently made headlines when making a case for men players to make a higher salary than women players.

In the interview with DeGeneres, she stated that he is in fact one of her favorite players and pointed out that Djokovic is playing the best tennis he has ever played as of recently.

Djokovic agreed and said that he is at the peak of his abilities at the moment and it's the best time of his career.

"I think that everything came together for the last couple of years," said Djokovic.

"I managed to put many things together in private and professional life so I would say i found that balance and harmony that allows me to use my full potential on the tennis court.

I'm just trying to cherish every moment spent on the court."

Djokovic talked about his wife and 17-month-old son before pointing out that Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray have been his biggest competitors in the sport thus far. Djokovic did say that there were young players who are coming up and beating top players. He says that while the sport needs rivalries, it also needs fresh players.

DeGeneres says he is amazing to watch because he is entertaining and funny and she finds it very fun to watch. DeGeneres revealed that she will be at the 2016 Wimbledon Mens Finals and expects him to be there.

He told DeGeneres that they should hit a couple of balls in the grass and asked her to help him warm up on the grass, to which she agreed to after fans urged her to take advantage of the opportunity.
