One minute you're trying to turn a Yankees game into a really special occasion by proposing to your girlfriend and then next you're a meme because you dropped the ring.

That's what happened to one fan, however, he gets the last laugh as it earned him and his fiance and appearance on The Ellen Show.

DeGeneres played a clip of the mishap with commentary from the announcers who felt bad for him.

His special moment was almost completely ruined but luckily, with the help of other fans at the stadium, the ring was found and his girlfriend said yes.

DeGeneres welcomed Andrew and Heather to the stage so that she can hear the first hand account of how it all went down.

Andrew explained that he was looking for his message to pop up and when his finally popped up, he told her to stand up and look at the scoreboard. She thought it would say happy birthday, however, when she stood up she saw Andrew's message.

He opened the box as they both stand up and the ring fell out. He had no idea where it went and looked everywhere, including empty food boxes.

DeGeneres was surprised at how many people reacted. The ring fell in the cuff of Heather's pants. They aren't sure when the wedding date is but they received a special message from the Yankees and an invitation to their weekend series.

They couple also played a game of Popcorn Plunge and won $10,000 from Shutterfly. So, Internet, Andrew gets the last laugh. You can watch the interview in the video below.
