When Bill Hader appeared on "The Howard Stern" show last week, Stern asked him to reprise one of his favorite sketches when he hosted "Saturday Night Live."

It's hard to know if Stern influenced the creative decision behind the program, but the sketch he asked for "Puppet Class Guy" made the cut for Hader's return to the show.

Stern was very complimentary of Hader's run on "SNL," comparing him to some of the greats who appeared on that program and calling him a top five cast member of all time.

Hader is currently on a massive media tour in support of "Skeleton Twins," a movie he co-stars in alongside former "SNL" player Kristen Wiig.

In the movie, Hader plays a serious, not a comedic part, and he has garnered Oscar buzz.

The movie follows a pair of estranged identical twins who both having cheated death on the same day reunite and figure out their relationship.

Stern has always been a big fan of "SNL," but has never hosted the program despite having essentially an open invitation. He has talked about doing a cameo on the program, which he has done before.
