Online Posts Suggest Huma Abedin's Relationship with Anthony Weiner a 'Business Arrangement'

With today's news buzzing about Huma Abedin's announcement of a separation from former Congressman Anthony Weiner, we wanted to highlight a particular Blind Gossip item:

Readers quickly began guessing that the item's subjects were none other than Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner, with this response fast becoming one of the most popular guesses.

According to the New York Post, Huma Abedin first met Anthony Weiner in 2001 at a Democratic National Committee event held in Martha's Vineyard. They were introduced by a friend of Abedin. Later, Anthony Weiner invited Abedin out for drinks.

After they continued to run into each other, a relationship developed, and they married in 2010. Abedin told Vogue that her religion helped her get through the darkest days when the media brought to light Weiner's prior transgressions.

While the Blind Gossip item could certainly be just about anyone, given today's news, we wonder if there's more to come on the details of Huma Abedin's breakup with Anthony Weiner.
