If you're a fan of The Carmichael Show then you know just how funny Jerrod Carmichael is. He recently visited the Ellen DeGeneres show to talk about his own show, his grandmother and the presidential election.

DeGeneres introduced Carmichael to the show and asked him to explain what his TV show is all about. He told the host and the audience that the show was mostly a conversation and that he wanted to have a show for adults.

He wanted something that was much more different from the smiley, stereotypical sitcoms. The Carmichael Show introduces and discusses real issues and current topics that act as a recap of you lives, as told through characters on the show.

Carmichael says he tackles things like this everyday in his real family. He told DeGeneres that everything was an argument from whatever the best breakfast cereal was to his grandmother's new husband.

However, Carmichael says that his parents are excited about the show and they like to pitch lines and ideas for it as well.

Given the fact that Carmichael had some experience dealing with current issues, DeGeneres asked him if he would like to discuss the presidential elections.

Naturally Carmichael began with Donald Trump by saying he is very interesting as a real life insane person. He says he doesn't know who to vote for this time around.

Carmichael is really excited and says that he is going to vote for common sense and whoever is going to ease up on his taxes.

DeGeneres says that she believes Bernie Sanders has some good ideas and Carmichael told her that he accepted the fact that Sanders will embarass us by doing some old man stuff.
