The Challenge: Battle of the Exes II Preview

MTV's The Challenge is coming back on January 6th and this season its going to be the second Battle of the Exes. The show is known for it's over the top craziness and feuds.

Of course with couples competing its gonna be a fight. Ding ding, round 2.

This the 26th season of The Challenge is a repeat concept from three years ago. In which exes are paired up from past Real World. New this year though are rookies from Are you the One?: Hawaii.

This season was filmed in Pedasi Panama and hosted by the returning T.J. Lavin and Battle of the Exes I champion Camila Nakagawa.

This season in particular is going to be dedicated to the late Diem Brown and Ryan Knight both featured on the show this season. The two passed away in November of 2014 only weeks apart.

Brown was suffering from ovarian cancer. While Knight was given no cause of death. This season is obviously the last time the two will ever be on the show.

350,000 is on the line for the winning couple and with youth clashing with experience along with the relationship factor things ought to get dicey rather quickly.

CT and Diem have certainly been mainstays in the challenge and are the only returning partners from the previous Battle of the Exes. The couple made it to the final the last time around but finished runners up.

Look for them to be power players once again.

From Are You the One?: Hawaii, Adam and Brittany are newcomers and fresh meat. It was love at first sight for these two as after two sentences Adam was convinced Brittany was the one. Despite that though the two remained apart at the end of the show.

Each couple got a chance to vent on each other in a series of clips called he said/she said.

In particular Adam was not too concerned with he show but rather with the past he shared with Brittany. These two might prove to be the most popular newbies this season but will they be successful?

This is the first time that this show the Challenge has featured members outside the Real World. Its going to be interesting to see how these outsiders fit in.

The concept of the exes is the perfect fit for the first year to be doing this.

Teased in the trailer is a "jaw dropping twist" having something to do with eliminations. Gotta keep things fresh every year on this show.

Fans of each specific couple will be tuning in for sure to see how long they stay around. Considering the unknown twist it might not be for long.

The season premiere in airing 11pm eastern time this upcoming Tuesday night. Tune in to MTV for Battle of Exes II.
