Former Baltimore Ravens Running Back, Ray Rice has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for the now-infamous domestic abuse of his wife.
After TMZ released a video of Rice knocking his then-fiancee unconscious, celebrities took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was at the center of many tweets; Goodell suspended Browns Wide Receiver Josh Gordon for the season for marijuana use. Rice, however, only received an initial suspension of two games.
Goodell has since gone on record in an attempt to rectify such a discrepancy in punishment.
Goodell has come out to say that his initial punishment of Rice wasn't harsh enough. He even wrote a letter to every NFL owner--stating that his initial ruling on Rice's case was insufficient.
But the Commissioner's initial lax punishment of the embattled running back still angered several celebrities, including Seth Rogen.
.@nflcommish your punishment for beating a woman is less than for smoking weed. Get your head out of your fucking ass.

Other celebrities have voiced their concern about the legal system's silence on the matter.
I remain astonished that any prosecutor could view the evidence we have seen and not treat the Ray Rice case as more serious.

NFL players--former and current-- have also voiced their opinion on the matter.
People, if you're confused why Ray Rice's wife would stand by him, there's lots of literature on the psychology of domestic abuse. Read it.

As players we must speak up. Stand up for what's right. I don't give a damn who u are or how much money you make. No place for this.

Other notable figures have been calling for the departure of all involved in the case. Keith Olbermann stated in a segment that Goodell, among others, "have lost credibility."
In addition, Olbermann stated that all involved parties must "leave or be expelled from their current position."

Rice's case has rightfully triggered outrage across cyberspace. And, even though he lost is job, some feel that it isn't enough to make up for what the media is collectively referring to as a failure of justice.
