Cameron Diaz Tells Ellen DeGeneres Her Secrets to Aging Well Inside and Out

Actress and author Cameron Diaz visited the Ellen Show to promote her new book "The Longevity Book" and dish out a few of her secrets to aging gracefully both inside and out.

DeGeneres and Diaz sat down for a chat and the host wanted to know if Diaz was going to focus on being an author now.

She says it's a possibility because she has the ability to write about things that she is passionate about which happens to be the body, hence her new piece "The Longevity Book." She says it is very gratifying and that it is really important for her to understand her own body.

Diaz says she loves to learn and wants to share what she has learned with everybody so that they can can have a long, strong and healthy life. Diaz is now 43-years-old and DeGeneres said she looks fantastic.

DeGeneres says it's great that she talked to so many scientists and doctors. It led to Diaz explaining the Five Pillars of health.

The Pillars include, good nutrition, physical activity, good rest, stress release and loving meaningful connected relationships. Diaz says aging is just living and how well you live is how well you age. Diaz is married and DeGeneres says she believes it helps you to be happier and healthier.

She says when you accept that you are aging, you live longer. Diaz says marriage gives you a purpose for living.

Both DeGeneres and Diaz agree that when you grow with someone you live better. Diaz says she couldn't grow without her husband.

Later on, Diaz had a Q&A with fans on Facebook.

She skipped the best and worst kiss questions but says if she was stranded on an island she would take lemon, avocado, an olive tree, a couple of chickens for eggs, get salt from the ocean and that's about it.

Diaz was asked what she liked about DeGeneres and Diaz says she admires her poker skills.

Her nickname for her husband is her "buh." Her favorite song to jam to is "Whip/Nae Nae" but she can't actually do the dance.
