Bravo's newest foodie reality show, "Best New Restaurant," is all about finding the best of sixteen new eateries in America.

With the help of hidden cameras, head judge Tom Colicchio narrows down the competition based on the quality of food, service, and overall customer satisfaction.

For the kick-off season, there are 16 restaurants who are going for the gold:

1. Barlata, from Austin, TX, specializing in authentic Spanish tapas.
2. Buns & Buns, from South Miami, FL, serving up high-end food in a casual style.
3. Dolce Italian, from Miami Beach, FL. Guess what kind of the food they serve?
4. DOMA, from Beverly Hills, CA, sporting Italian American cuisine.
5. L'Apicio, from New York, NY, serving Italian-inspired meals.
6. Little Sparrow, from Santa Ana, CA, specializing in European influence.
7. Morgan's Brooklyn Barbecue, from New York, NY, bringing some real Texas BBQ to the Northeast.
8.

Porter Ale House, from Austin, TX, rocking Gastropub style.
9. Restaurant Jezebel, from Austin, TX, taking it up a notch with "couture" dining.
10. Swift's Attic, from Austin, TX, serving modern American small plates.
11. The Church Key, from West Hollywood, CA, sporting modern American and Dim Sum.
12.

The Federal, from Miami, FL, serving high-end, shareable small plates.
13. The Pines, from Brooklyn, NY, also serving shareable small plates.
14.

R House, from Miami, FL, dishing out modern/global inspired food.
15. Tongue & Cheek, from Miami Beach, FL, serving contemporary American.
and lastly,

First up? For the premiere, we meet the minds behind DOMA, "not your average Italian" restaurant in Beverly Hills. First impressions were that the waitstaff took too long to take orders, and slammed the kitchen all at once.

This lead to long wait times, and grumpy customers. But their food was out of this world.
