North American retailer Best Buy has revealed the official release date for the Blu-ray version of Shazam. The well received movie is one of the best films released in 2019 to date.

As seen on the official Best Buy website, the Blu-ray release date for Shazam is July 2nd, 2019. This is just around three months after the movie came out worldwide in the first week of April.

The release date for the digital version of Shazam should be earlier, but Warner Bros will announce more details at a later date. We should also get more details about the special features for the movie very soon too.

Along with Wonder Woman, Shazam is the best reviewed DCEU movies of all time. You can read the official synopsis for the movie posted down below.

"We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong)."

While the Blu-ray is released in July, you can check out the movie in cinemas if you have not seen the film yet. It's worth watching if you are a fan of superhero movies!
