Artie Lange has slowly been picking himself up from the drug-induced spectacular fall which cost him his job on "The Howard Stern Show" and nearly his life.

The comedian hosted a show on DirecTV for nearly two years, but now he is back in the way most people want to see him as a stand-up comic in an all-new special.

Lange is back in New Jersey, and back on Comedy Central in the world premiere of "Artie Lange: The Stench of Failure" on Saturday, October 18 at midnight ET/PT. For fans that can't wait for Lange's new material, the special will be available on October 13 on CC: Stand-Up Direct.

In front of a packed crowd at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center's Victoria Theater, Lange doesn't pull any punches when he talks about his stints in rehab and a psych ward, covering everything from playing Scrabble with mental patients to giving advice to a crack addicted baby seller.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, the Comedy Central Stand-Up Web site and app will feature preview clips from the special.

Fans can follow Lange on Twitter at @artiequitter, and tweet using the hashtag #StenchofFailure to join the social chatter around the special.

"Artie Lange: The Stench of Failure" will be available on October 19 in the Comedy Central App to fans that sign in via their cable or satellite provider.

The Comedy Central app is available for free for iOS on the App Store, for Android on the Google Play store, and for Xbox One.

The extended and uncensored version of "Artie Lange: The Stench of Failure" will be available for download on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network and Vudu on October 21. The special will be available for pre-order in SD and HD on Amazon and iTunes on October 16.

The album will be available on October 21 on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Spotify, Rhapsody, and all other streaming platforms.
