Ben Affleck's The Accountant rules the domestic box office as Tom Hanks' Inferno takes the top spot worldwide for the weekend of October 16.

"Tom Hanks and Ron Howard reunite on one of the most beloved global franchises as 'Inferno' lit up the international box office with $50 million this weekend, ahead of its October 28 U.S. release," said comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

Fans who are waiting for Inferno to hit stateside will have to stay patient until October 28.
