Well it sounds like Blade Runner 2049 falls into the category of sequels that have managed to be superior to the original movie. The reviews for the new film have landed online and it's getting universe praise from critics.

Rotten Tomatoes has revealed that Blade Runner 2049 has a fresh rating of 98 percent. As of time of writing, 39 reviews are positive with only one review being negative.

Visually stunning and narratively satisfying, Blade Runner 2049 deepens and expands its predecessor's story while standing as an impressive filmmaking achievement in its own right.

The amazing thing about the reviews is that many critics believe the new film to be superior to the original. The original film from 1982 is considered to be a classic by many people.

It's amazing that a sequel made 35 years later is still able to create a lot of buzz. It will be interesting to see what the general audience thinks of the movie.

The only negative review so far comes from Forbes.

The publication believes the movie has more style than substance and that the cast is under utilized. They gave the movie a 5/10 which is by far the lowest any critic from Rotten Tomatoes has given it so far.
