October 29 might as well be an official holiday, celebrated far and wide throughout on the Internet, and Taylor Swift is no stranger to celebrating a day in honor of our cuddly feline friends.
Swift has two kittens of her own--Meredith and Olivia--and tweeted/instagrammed of the little fur balls cuddling on what appears to be her bed.
In honor of #NationalCatDay, here is a photo of that one time I caught Meredith and Olivia cuddling. http://t.co/OZhbjpWLxl

Swift also tweeted a YouTube video of herself making hilarious angry cat noises.
A very informative video of me making the sounds my cats make when they fight.

Meredith and Olivia are almost as famous as their mommy, and Meredith even has her own twitter account. Meredith typically tweets about what Taylor Swift is up to, lounging around the house with Olivia, and other feline issues.
I am the princess of kitty-town, bow down bitches.

Swift has been seen toting her lovely pets around town, and it seems they're very close. Her cat Olivia is actually named after Mariska Hargitay's character on "Law and Order: Special Victim's Unit, Olivia Benson.
According to an article by US Weekly, Hargitay absolutely loves this, and even gave a cat collar engraved with the name "Olivia Benson" to Swift as a gesture of kindness.
Hargitay told Us Weekly: "When she named her cat, I had so much going on. I was out of town, and when things calmed down, I thought it warranted a real something [special]. That's so sweet and too fabulous."
The Internet is going wild for National Cat Day, and the hashtag #NationalCatDay is currently trending on Twitter and Instagram, filling up with thousands of pictures, videos and homages to humanity's (obviously) favorite house pet.
Other celebrity outlets have posted their love for cats, including a shout out from hit show "Portlandia" to their beloved character, Kevin.
