The Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens madness is continuing this week and actress Lupita Nyong'o told Ellen DeGeneres all about her experience with the franchise, during her visit to the show.

Unlike Adam Driver who didn't actually have to audition for his role, Nyong'o had to audition for her role as Maz Kanata. The audition was just after she won her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 12 Years A Slave.

Nyong'o had a pretty funny story about her audition with J.J. Abrams, the director of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

She had to use a substitute script and told DeGeneres that she was crouching around and using her hands as a gun. She found out that the role was for the Star Wars film and that she would be doing a motion-capture role. Nyong'o had to wear a special suit with dots on her face that would be picked up later on in editing and CGI. Nyong'o said that there were definitely more than 125 dots and it took around two and a half hours to get them on her face. Luckily enough the time decreased as filming went on but it was pretty hard for Nyong'o to eat during filming.

"I had dots on my lips and on my teeth and at lunchtime I would just eat the dots," Nyong'o told DeGeneres.

DeGeneres was laughing at what she just heard but wondered if it was good for her. Nyong'o's facial expressions were captured using the dots and transferred onto the avatar of Maz Kanata.

You can check out the hilarious interview below and catch Nyong'o in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens when it hits theaters Friday, December 18.
