The new villain for the Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awaken film is Kylo Ren and Adam Driver, the man who plays Ren, stopped by the Howard Stern SiriusXM radio show to talk about the film, his character and more.

Driver is well-known for his role as Adam Sackler on the television show Girls which Stern admitted to watching in the beginning of the interview. Stern told Driver it was weird seeing him in person after watching him on TV so much, according to MarksFriggin's rundown of the show. Stern wasted no time in jumping into the Star Wars talk by asking Driver if he was excited about the Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens film.

Driver, who plays Kylo Ren, the major villain in he film, said that he is excited but added that it was very overwhelming. The same sentiment is shared by the films director J.J. Abrams, who visited the show the day before Driver's interview.

Driver didn't actually have to audition for the role of Kylo Ren and told Stern all about it during their interview.

"I went out to meet J.J. and we did a meet and greet thing and then there was thinking about it for a little bit," Adam told Stern, according to the Howard Stern main page.

"He couldn't tell me, really, anything about the part either. At that point, it was just to look at me."

He also explained the severity of keeping the script out of the hands of anyone. Driver told Stern he kept the script locked in a canvas bag according to the main page.

"There's such great lengths that people went to to try and preserve any plot point, that when someone gives it away, it's kind of crushing," said Driver in his interview with Stern.

Driver actually admitted that he doesn't like to watch himself in any of the projects that he has done, however, the fact that so much work was put into Star Wars: The Force Awakens made him get over that rule. While there was plenty of Star Wars talk, Driver also explained about his time in the Marines, where he also trained as a rifleman. He didn't actually go overseas because he broke his sternum, but he told Stern that he wishes he could have gone.

You can hear more from the interview here. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is scheduled for a December 18 release.
