Star Wars Rogue One Blu-ray/Digital Release Date And Extras Announced

Disney has now announced the release date for when you can buy Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on Blu-ray and Digital HD. Not to mention Disney and Lucasfilm also revealed the many bonus features and retail exclusives that are coming to the home release of the movie.

First, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be available digitally on March 24th, 2017.

The movie will then come out a few weeks later on April 4th, 2017 on both Blu-ray and DVD. Different packaging will be available for Blu-ray and DVD so people will know which format to the get the movie on.

Before we talk about the extras, many retailers in North America will have exclusive versions available for you to buy. At Target you can get a mega 5-disc version of the movie.

This includes interchangeable covers plus the movie on 3D Blu-ray, 2 Blu-rays, DVD and another DVD with bonus features. You will also get a digital copy of the movie too.

Best Buy has an exclusive Steelbook of the film shipping on 4 discs. This includes a 3D Blu-ray, 2 Blu-rays and the movie on DVD and digital formats. It's similar to the Target version, although you miss out on the extra DVD.

Finally there's the Walmart version of the movie. This is a 3-disc set that includes K2-SO on the cover plus Galactic Connexions trading discs.

You get the movie on 2 Blu-rays, a DVD and digital copy. Similar to the other versions, but this time no 3D version.

As for the rest of the extras, there's your usual behind the scenes footage looking at many of the characters in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

There's features on Jyn, Cassian, Bohdi, K2-SO, Baze and Chirrut plus the Empire itself. Not to mention a feature on the visual effects plus several other Easter eggs for you to uncover.
