Despite only working a few times per year, Brock Lesnar has been named as the highest paid WWE Superstar for the fiscal year of 2016.

The former MMA/UFC fighter earned more money than even John Cena who has always been the company's number one guy.

Forbes compiled a list of the top 10 highest paid WWE wrestlers. It's worth noting some of Lesnar's money came from his fight with Mark Hunt at UFC 200.

Still, he's the highest paid person in the current WWE roster. If past wrestlers were included, nobody would be able to catch up to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. You can look at the top 10 below.

  • 10: Randy Orton - $1.9 million
  • 9: Seth Rollins - $2 million
  • 8: The Undertaker - $2 million
  • 7: Shane McMahon - $2.2 million
  • 6: AJ Styles - $2.4 million
  • 5: Dean Ambrose - $2.7 million
  • 4: Roman Reigns - $3.5 million
  • 3: Triple H - $ 3.8 million
  • 2: John Cena - $8 million
  • 1: Brock Lesnar - $12 million

John Cena's payday is slightly down from what he earned in 2015.

This is because the man has been taking time away from the ring to pursue outside interests. It's interesting The Undertaker earned a cool $2 million even though he only wrestled once at WrestleMania 32.

It's pretty cool to see how much WWE values AJ Styles even though he only joined the professional wrestling company in January 2016.

Well he was the WWE Champion and quickly became one of the company's top stars. He consistently puts on great matches with anyone on the WWE roster.

It will be interesting to see what the numbers will look like next year.

It's highly possible Roman Reigns could earn even more money with the way the company has been treating him. He's still being pushed as the number one guy in the company.
