Fans of Disney's hit "Frozen" can rejoice as the Walt Disney Co. plans to rebuilt the "Maelstrom" ride as a "Frozen Ever After" theme park attraction in Epcot Center.

"Disney Imagineers who designed the ride recently got a virtual-reality tour at a warehouse in Glendale, Calif., wearing 3-D glasses while watching high-definition images of Olaf and Sven horsing around, Grandpappy Troll telling a magical story and Elsa belting out her song 'Let It Go,'" reports the Wall Street Journal.

"They will become animatronic characters that Epcot visitors float by on a log after 'Frozen Ever After' opens next year.

While fans might have to wait a year until they can enjoy the attraction, the announcement shows just how much Disney is continuing to rely on "Frozen" to continue to flourish.

According to the WSJ article, "Frozen" merchandise sales are ten times what it was in 2014 and the mobile game has been downloaded 105 million times.

"Frozen" tells the tale of Anna the sister of Queen Elsa who sets off on a quest with a mountain man, reindeer and a snowman named Olaf in order to change the weather conditions after Elsa turned their mystical land into ice.

The film grossed almost $1.3 billion since it's release and over $350 million in domestic video sales.
