The CW's "Legends of Tomorrow" goes back to the 80s, landing in the midst of a conspiracy. Old enemies with new plans cause team members to start questioning the right move in "Compromised," the second season's fifth episode.

A time-quake leads the Legends into the White House in the 80s. They are surprised to find Damien Darhk acting as a Senior Adviser to President Reagan.

Sara struggles to decide between her personal revenge or the team's mission. Stein seeks out his younger self when he learns he's creating a time aberration.

Damien Darhk is making a trade, money for an ancient relic, when the DEA surrounds them. Eobard comes along and kills everyone except Darhk. He gets him to agree to work with him.

Jax wants to start changing history but Stein believes it's too much of a risk.

Mick is trying to help Ray learn how to use the cold gun by getting him to fill Snart's shoes. Amaya goes to visit Nate while he's creating a device that will locate time aberrations.

The device picks one up in the White House. Amaya and Nate go to reach out to the current JSA team while the rest of the team gets into the White House. When they make it to the JSA training academy only to find it long abandoned. Amaya starts to regret her decision to leave her time.

From up on the rafters, a hooded figure watches them. While wandering the halls, Stein and Jax come across a young Stein inside the White House when he's supposed to be somewhere else. After stealing some of Reagan's prized jelly beans, Mick and Ray pass Darhk.

They alert the team and despite Stein's warning Sara goes rogue. Mick and Ray try to stop her but when the secret service comes, she gets away.

Obsidian is able to shed some light on what happened to the JSA. They apparently went on a mission and never returned. Amaya vows to make things right before they're called back to the ship. They are caught up on Darhk's situation. Sara charges Ray and Mick to watch Darhk.

While alone, Mick admits that he doesn't want Ray to become like Snart anymore because it's dredging help feelings. Darhk is meeting a KGB agent at night in the park.

He wants the agent to plant a package during the treaty dinner. Young Stein has followed Darhk to the park. When it's apparent that he knows too much, Darhk stabs him.

Martian has some choice words for his younger self as Gideon heals his wound. Nate and Amaya go to Obsidian for help getting into the State Dinner. He refuses because he thinks Amaya's too emotional to be professional. Ray goes to Stein in hopes he'll help him figure out who he is.

The gang enters the State Dinner with flare. Sara and Amaya talk about the appropriate action when facing the murderer of a loved when. Nate spots Darhk in the hallway. The team gets ready to move.

Obsidian goes after Darhk on his own. Amaya soon follows along with Sara. Firestorm goes to save Clarissa, leaving Nate to finishing taking out the KGB agents.

When Ray and Mick clear the dining hall a table falls over, conveniently revealing the bomb. Todd gets shot protecting Amaya from the bullet. The only way Ray can disarm the bomb is by dismantling the cold gun.

Sara can't help but taunt Darhk with his future. Like girl, now he knows what to expect. Eobard whisks him away, revealing the time-traveller is a speedster. The taunting is forgiven since it allowed Sara to snatch the jewel off of Darhk.

Stein gets into a fight with his young self over his treatment of Clarissa. Amaya tries to persuade Obsidian into coming along but he's got a lover waiting for him at home.

Amaya finally opens up to Nate about his grandfather. Darhk asks Eobard to take him along so he can change his future.

"Compromised" put parts of the team between a rock and a hard place. "Legends of Tomorrow" took a look at how much Stein and Sara have changed from recent events. Keep watching Thursdays at 8pm or catch up here.
