Manu Bennett's version of Deathstroke has been a favorite on The CW's Arrow TV show. However, it sounds like Warner Bros/DC is not allowing Arrow's version of Deathstroke to be used again anytime soon.

This is because Warner Bros/DC does not want to confuse the audience by having two Deathstrokes in two different mediums. Joe Manganiello is playing the movie version of the character in future films if you did not know already.

As reported by ComicBook.com, the bad news was revealed by Arrow's executive producer Marc Guggenheim while he was talking at the ACE Comic Con. You can read his comments down below.

"For a time they were saying 'you can't use Deathstroke', and that changed and we were able to have Slade Wilson back on the show, and now we're back to 'you can't use him'. They're working on the feature film version, it really is sort of now that you've got obviously Slade, spoiler alert, Deathstroke appears at the end of the Justice League movie"

It's unfortunate Deathstroke is unable to be used since The CW is still allowed to Superman in Supergirl despite Henry Cavill still being the movie version of the character.

It remains to be seen when Joe Manganiello will be suiting up again.

If you saw Justice League, it was hinted that Deathstroke and Lex Luthor will be assembling a bad guy team for the sequel.

That being said, the sequel has been put on hold right now since the first Justice League movie sadly underwhelmed at the Box Office.

Anyway, The CW isn't downright banned from using the Manu Bennett version of Deathstroke in Arrow. The character is just taking a hiatus until WB/DC allows them to use him again on the show.
