Last week, CW's "Arrow" took Church down. Now the villain in the shadows will start to come forward in "So it Begins," the sixth episode of the fifth season.

Felicity and Curtis help Oliver look into Prometheus' victims, who all are mysteriously connected to Oliver's past.

Thea and Lance talk through some recent emotional struggle. Malone's getting closer to the truth and Felicity thinks about coming clean about her job.

The Green Arrow and Spartan track Church's cell phone into a trap made by Prometheus. The villain dramatically sends the a message through fire that spells out, "so it begins." Felicity wants to alert the rest of the team about the new threat but Oliver feels like telling them is pointless at the moment. In Russia, Oliver pushes Anatoly down as Kovar's men shoot up the bar and declare war on the Bratva. Thea notices that Lance has been late most of the week.

Oliver is sitting down for his interview with the reporter. Thea pitches an idea for a music festival in Starling City.

Oliver okays it and Lance has a lead on a venue. Prometheus kills a mother of two while she's at home cleaning.

Chase clears the room when the Green Arrow shows up at the scene of the crime. They exchange information on the case. Chase gets a text about another murder.

Diggle asks Felicity to bring them a one of the throwing stars. She believes that they should tell the recruits now. Malone isn't easily convinced but is called into Pike's office, conveniently leaving a throwing star on his desk.

Oliver is angry that Anatoly didn't tell him he knew Kovar was planning on attacking. A Bratva higher up wants Oliver to pretend to fund Kovar's war in order to plant a bomb.

An attack on an outdoor shopping center finally gets Oliver to agree to bringing in the rest of the team. Prometheus has left but the panic he's left behind gives the team plenty to do.

The rest of the team learns what Oliver kept from them. They are rightfully offended but the city wide panic is a more pressing matter. Thea can't find Lance and searches his office until she finds a bottle of booze in his desk.

Curtis and Felicity have found a connection between the victims. They believe their names are anagrams. Oliver recognizes the names from off of a list.

The team seems to be surprised that Oliver took a stint as a serial killer In the past, Oliver is having a meeting with Kovar's man about renting the space they want to blow up. Another guy sneaks up on him and he's knocked out. Thea goes to see Lance's house and finds him drunk. He never stopped in the first place. Thea refuses to give up on him.

Evelyn isn't really taking Oliver's secrets well. She calls a Recruits meeting for them to talk it out. She implies that she might quit the team.

Diggle and Oliver have a heart to heart about how far Oliver has come since he first started.

Felicity has worked out a list of people and Team Arrow makes a plan to protect them. Evelyn tells Oliver how she feels about working with him but she won't quite the team.

Evelyn is watching a subway driver when Prometheus shows up. She engages in battle with him without notifying the team. The Green Arrow shows up in time to stop Prometheus from killing the driver.

An explosion creates enough cover for him to get away. However, he's planted a bomb on the train. Without enough time to disable it, they're forced to abandon the train. Evelyn and Oliver talk and come to an understanding.

In Russia, Oliver is tied to a chair in front of Kovar. He knows who Oliver is and he knew he was coming. Felicity finally tells Malone that she works with the Green Arrow.

He takes the new very well. In fact he has questions of his own.

The weapons prometheus is using to kill people are made from the arrowheads Oliver's used in the past four years.

At home, Lance wakes up to find a cut on his arm and a throwing star under the papers on his desk.

"So it Begins" established what seems like this season's second big bad. Prometheus promises to be more of a challenge for the "Arrow" crew. Keep watching Wednesday nights at 8pm and rewatch it on the CW site.
