When you're growing up fathers as well as mothers try to be hip so that they can relate to their children a bit more.
Dads will go to all measures to be the funny guy and those measures come in the form of "dad jokes."

She's pretty popular among the YouTube crowd and like most of us, she has also had her fair share of dad jokes shared with her through her childhood.
"With great dads come great dad jokes," says Laina in her video. "In honor of Father's Day, here are some of my favorite dad jokes."
After the intro comes a slew of pretty awesome dad jokes, at least dads think they're awesome. Jokes like, "I use to hate facial hair, then it grew on me" and "what do you call an elephant that doesn't matter? Irrelephant," are some of the jokes featured in the video.
