Chris Rock is on a roll.

The comedian is coming off a much-heralded, highly-rated turn hosting "Saturday Night Live" and now he has decided to have some fun on social media.

Rock, who has always talked about his love for rap music, posted a tweet with his top five picks linking to a YouTube video promoting his new film, "Top Five" where he discusses his five favorite rappers.

Rock sticks with classics going with Jay-Z as his top choice.

The comedian posted the list as a way to promote his new film "Top 5," which he wrote and directed. In the clip, Rock's character listed a different top 5 list than the comedian picked in real life.

The movie, which opens December 12 stars Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, and Cedric the Entertainer along with Rock, who plays the leading role.

The movie was screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and has generally received very positive reviews.
