Now that the History of Howard Stern is over, the Sirius XM radio host continued his return to the regular show by raving about a film called "Kung Fury." So, what exactly is Kung Fury?

Well, according to the Stern, it's an action-comedy film that spoofs old 80's Kung-Fu movies. Stern gave the movie a rave review on his show this morning.

"Howard told listeners Monday that he was turned on to a movie called 'Kung Fury,' which is a spoof of '80s kung fu films, by fellow legendary radio host Shadoe Stevens recently and he thought it was absolutely hilarious," according to the official Stern website.

"Back in 2013, Sandberg and the filmmakers crowdfunded a massive $630K, topping the initial goal of just $200K to make the spoof. Luckily for fans, there could be a feature-length version in the works for later."

The film is actually filmed in the 80's style and features music that mimics the sounds of that era. Stern's assessment of "Kung Fury" is pretty spot on as it's pretty goofy and odd.

"KUNG FURY is an over-the-top action comedy written and directed by David Sandberg," according to the film's official page.

"The movie features: arcade-robots, dinosaurs, nazis, vikings, norse gods, mutants and a super kung fu-cop called Kung Fury, all wrapped up in an 80s style action packed adventure.

Kung Fury takes place in a variety of exotic locations; 1980s Miami, Asgard and Germany in the 1940s, to name a few.

With a limited budget to work with, we had to solve this by shooting most of the scenes against a greenscreen backdrop."

According to the site, the film was also funded through a Kickstarter campaign.
